Privacy Policy

This policy explains how VenueTix collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information for buyers, organizers, and visitors.

Effective date: March 10, 2026

1. Scope and Roles

This Privacy Policy explains how VenueTix collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information for buyers, organizers, and visitors who use the platform. It is intended to operate as the primary VenueTix privacy notice and confidentiality policy for our service.

VenueTix provides the platform, while organizers use VenueTix to sell and fulfil event tickets. As a result, some information is controlled directly by VenueTix for platform operations and some is shared with organizers so they can run their events.

2. Information We Collect

VenueTix collects information you provide directly, including account details, profile information, event listing data, order details, support messages, and tax or payout information submitted by organizers.

We also collect technical and usage information such as device identifiers, browser data, page activity, transaction metadata, cookies, logs, and support history needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

For organizers, we may collect business, banking, identity, verification, and tax information needed for payout setup, fraud review, and legal compliance.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide accounts, process ticket sales, deliver tickets, administer events, support payouts, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and comply with legal obligations.

We may also use information to improve product performance, analyze platform usage, communicate important service, purchase, account, or policy updates, and respond to disputes, refunds, and trust-and-safety investigations.

Where consent is required, we seek to provide clear notice of what information is collected, why it is used, and the consequences of sharing it with organizers, payment providers, and other service partners.

4. Sharing and Disclosures

VenueTix shares relevant buyer information with the organizer or event partner for event fulfilment, support, admission management, fraud prevention, safety, and legally required recordkeeping.

We may also share data with payment processors, infrastructure providers, analytics tools, customer support providers, compliance vendors, and legal or regulatory authorities where necessary to operate the platform or comply with law.

If an organizer uses attendee information for its own independent purposes, such as post-event marketing, that use is governed by the organizer’s own practices and legal obligations in addition to this policy.

5. Payments, Payouts, and Sensitive Data

Payment card information is processed by payment providers such as Stripe and is not stored by VenueTix except for limited payment metadata needed for reconciliation, refunds, payout support, and risk review.

Organizers may be asked to provide identity, banking, and tax information to enable payouts, connected account onboarding, sanctions screening, fraud review, and regulatory compliance.

Payment providers may process and store information under their own privacy terms in addition to this policy.

6. Cross-Border Processing and Retention

VenueTix and its service providers may process or store information outside your province, state, or country, including in the United States or other jurisdictions where our vendors or partners operate.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account history, issue tickets, manage disputes and refunds, keep tax and accounting records, and satisfy legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on whether you are a buyer, organizer, or visitor and on the type of transaction or record involved. Some information must be retained despite a deletion request when needed for security, dispute handling, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. Marketing Communications and Choices

VenueTix may send transactional communications needed to deliver tickets, manage accounts, process orders, support payouts, or notify you of important changes. These messages are part of operating the service.

Marketing emails, texts, and promotional communications should be treated separately from transactional messages. Where law requires consent, we aim to collect it through separate opt-in flows rather than burying it inside general platform terms.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the method included in the message or through account preferences where available.

8. Security and Your Rights

VenueTix uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and using a strong password.

You may update certain account information through your account settings and may contact VenueTix to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights, subject to legal exceptions and platform recordkeeping needs.

9. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy or requests relating to personal information can be directed to the VenueTix support contact identified on the platform.
