Refund Policy

This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, postponements, and fee treatment work on VenueTix.

Effective date: March 10, 2026

1. How Refund Decisions Work

VenueTix uses an organizer-as-seller model unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific event or program. That means the organizer sets the refund policy for each event and is responsible for the event itself, including cancellations, postponements, and material changes.

Refund eligibility is determined by the organizer’s posted refund policy, these platform rules, and applicable law.

2. Cancelled Events

If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, the expected baseline is a refund of the ticket price to the original payment method unless a different remedy is required or permitted by law.

VenueTix may process refunds on behalf of the organizer, but the organizer remains responsible for funding refunds and related obligations where VenueTix is not the merchant of record.

3. Postponed or Rescheduled Events

If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the organizer’s posted policy will control whether tickets remain valid, whether credits are offered, and whether refunds are available.

Lineup changes, venue changes, and similar updates do not automatically create a refund right unless required by law or the event-specific refund policy.

4. Fees and Taxes

Fee treatment must be disclosed consistently in the event page, checkout, and applicable order materials. Unless a different policy is disclosed for the event, VenueTix may retain or refund platform fees depending on the reason for the refund, the organizer’s instructions, and applicable law.

If taxes were charged on a refunded order, tax treatment will follow the underlying refund handling for the transaction and applicable legal requirements.

5. How to Request Help

Buyers should first review the event’s posted refund policy and any event-specific organizer terms. If you need help, contact the organizer or VenueTix support through the support path shown in your order or on the platform.

VenueTix may request order information, proof of issue, or additional details before reviewing a refund or event complaint.
