Buyer Terms of Service

These terms explain how buyers use VenueTix to discover events, purchase tickets, and access ticket-related services.

Effective date: March 10, 2026

1. Acceptance and Scope

These Buyer Terms of Service govern use of VenueTix by attendees and buyers who browse events, create buyer accounts, purchase tickets, or use tickets issued through the platform.

By creating a buyer account, completing checkout, or clicking a purchase or payment confirmation button that references these terms, you agree to these Buyer Terms, the VenueTix Privacy Policy, and any event-specific policies incorporated into the order flow.

VenueTix may deliver a copy or summary of the applicable purchase terms, order details, and refund information in the checkout flow, by email, or through your account after purchase.

2. Roles and Contracting Parties

Unless VenueTix expressly states otherwise for a specific event or program, the event organizer is the seller of the ticket and the provider of the event. Your contract for the event itself is between you and the organizer.

VenueTix provides ticketing, checkout, payment, customer account, and support infrastructure. VenueTix may collect payment or process transactions on behalf of the organizer, but VenueTix is not responsible for producing, operating, or hosting the underlying event except where required by law.

3. Orders, Pricing, Fees, and Taxes

When you place an order, you agree to pay the displayed ticket price, mandatory fees, and applicable taxes shown in checkout. Orders are not complete until payment has been successfully authorized and confirmed.

VenueTix may show pricing and checkout totals in a way intended to reflect the true mandatory purchase cost, subject to legally imposed taxes and any optional add-ons selected by you.

Ticket availability can change quickly. VenueTix may use reservation windows and inventory holds during checkout, and unpaid holds may expire automatically without completing your purchase.

The organizer sets ticket prices and remains responsible for event-sale taxes unless VenueTix expressly states that it is acting as merchant of record or tax collector for a particular product or program.

4. Event-Specific Policies and Organizer Responsibility

Each organizer is responsible for the accuracy of event details, admission policies, event performance, postponements, cancellations, age restrictions, venue rules, accessibility information, and any event-specific house rules.

The organizer may publish supplemental event terms, venue conditions, prohibited-items rules, transfer restrictions, or event-specific refund policies. Where presented with your order or on the event page, those terms are incorporated into your purchase.

Questions about access, lineup, venue rules, event status, or organizer policies should first be directed to the organizer identified on the event page.

5. Delivery, Entry, and Ticket Rules

Tickets may be delivered digitally, through your account, by email, or through another method disclosed in the order flow. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining access to your account.

Venue entry, admission timing, seating, re-entry, transferability, identity checks, and prohibited conduct at the venue are controlled by the organizer, venue, or applicable house rules. Failure to comply may result in refused entry without a refund where permitted by law.

VenueTix may cancel or void tickets obtained through fraud, abuse, policy violations, ticket limit evasion, bot activity, or circumvention of purchasing restrictions.

6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Event Changes

Refund eligibility depends on the organizer’s posted policy, the VenueTix Refund Policy, and applicable law. If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, the expected baseline is a refund of the ticket price to the original payment method unless a different remedy is required or permitted by law.

How fees are treated on cancellation or refund depends on the policy disclosed for the event or in the VenueTix Refund Policy. VenueTix may process refunds on behalf of organizers but does not guarantee that every order is refundable.

Schedules, lineups, speakers, venues, and event details may change. Unless required by law or the organizer’s own posted policy, changes of this type do not automatically create a refund right.

7. Disputes, Chargebacks, and Misuse

If you have a problem with an event or order, you should first contact the organizer or VenueTix support through the support path identified for the order. VenueTix may request information from you before assisting with a claim, refund, or event dispute.

You may not use chargebacks or payment disputes in bad faith to avoid a valid purchase or to bypass clearly disclosed refund restrictions. VenueTix may suspend ticket access or future purchasing privileges while a payment dispute is being reviewed.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits any non-waivable statutory chargeback or consumer protection rights that apply under law.

8. Accounts, Acceptable Use, and Anti-Bot Rules

You must provide accurate registration and checkout information, keep your login credentials secure, and use the platform only for lawful purchases and account activity.

You may not use automated methods to bypass purchase limits, scrape the service, create fake accounts, resell in violation of event restrictions, or interfere with platform security or ticket availability.

VenueTix may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, payment risk, policy violations, misuse of tickets, or suspicious account activity.

9. Limitation of Platform Role and Liability

VenueTix is not responsible for the underlying event performance, venue safety, organizer conduct, organizer statements, travel costs, lodging, incidental expenses, or losses caused by cancellations or changes except to the extent required by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VenueTix’s liability is limited to the amounts you paid to VenueTix in connection with the affected transaction, excluding amounts that VenueTix collected solely on behalf of an organizer, and subject to any non-waivable statutory rights.

Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Contact

Questions about these Buyer Terms or platform operations can be sent to the VenueTix support contact identified on the platform. Event-specific issues should also be directed to the organizer support contact shown for the event where available.
